Um, hello again all! I know this may sound kind of dumb, but I'm currently in the middle of writing a Superhero-related Avatar mess of a fic and got a little stuck :/

SOOO I was wondering if anyone knew what the exact um, like mechanics, I guess, that are required for lightning!bending? Like, why Ozai and Azula can do it but Zuko had that epic personal-reflection-thing on the mountaintop that one episode because he couldn't.  It doesn't have anything to do with power, right? Does Iroh mention it when he's teaching Zuko how to redirect lightning???

I can't remember :( but I don't have that season and my internet connection is being difficult so I'd have to wait forever for it to upload somewhere...

Hey, all!  I'm sure everyone's familiar with fandom_secrets .  I couldn't find an Avatar secrets comm, so I thought it'd be cool to try and do a one-time thing here.  [If it goes well, perhaps more.]

Happy New Year!

Our summer drabble contest was a huge success. Now it's winter and many of us are shivering through the coldest temperatures in years. How about some new Zutara drabbles to warm us up? This time the contest features a special wintry twist.

The RULES:

1. 100 words. No more. No less. No exceptions. Your drabble must include the word winter. All forms of the word (winters, winterly, etc.) are acceptable; you may use it as a noun, verb, adjective--whatever your fancy. So come up with ninety-nine more words and you're set!

2. Any theme and all ratings and genres are welcome: romance, friendship, comedy, drama, horror, AU, etc.

3. You may enter ONE drabble in the contest.

4. A separate entry post will appear on Sunday, January 10th, where you may submit your drabbles as comments. The entry post will stay open through midnight Wednesday, January 13th. All drabbles must be entered by Midnight EST on Wednesday night.

CONTEST ENTRIES MAY ONLY BE ENTERED ON THE OFFICIAL ENTRY POST (we don’t want to flood people’s friends-lists). Please do not enter your drabbles here.

On Ji isn't sent to the coal mines after the secret dance party, but she's grounded for two months.

It's update time! This is the first Where Words Fail post of the new year, and so it's only fitting that it's a very action-packed one. This concludes Chapter 3 of Book 5, and next week will conclude Book 5 in and of itself. The next update will be Wednesday, January 13th! See you there, bitches!
